Meet the team

Garry has over 25 years of experience in the Software industry in Europe, the United States, Canada, Asia, and Australia. He has worked in Enterprise Software, Systems Integration, Management Consulting, Investment Banking and Board Advisory roles.

David is in charge of making sure MOA’s team of experts work together to provide the best possible products and services for their members every day. He has spent almost ten years working with technology and quality management in aged care. He uses this experience to help aged care providers find the best solutions to provide exceptional care.

Dr Leith Heyman is MOA’s Content Lead, with almost ten years experience supporting quality aged care. She coordinates our team of specialist content writers to develop and continuously review MOA’s suite of audit programs across a range of care sectors in Australia and internationally. Leith holds a PhD in Medical Anthropology from the University of Southern Queensland, with research focused on experiences of care and access to healthcare systems. She holds an appointment as an Adjust Research Fellow at the University of Southern Queensland.

Dr Lahn Straney is an Epidemiologist and director at MOA. He has expertise in the development of methods for measuring quality of care and over 10 years experience in the aged care sector.He holds a PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Queensland, and undertook a post-doc in biostatistics at the University of Washington. He holds an adjunct appointment as a Senior Research Fellow at Monash University.
